Kenya - Promoting Economic Growth Among the Maasai

During the 2007-08 winter break, a Wharton Global Consulting Practicum (GCP) team traveled to eastern Kenya to consult the Leakey Collection, a jewelry and décor company whose aim is to foster sustainable economic enterprise among the Maasai people. Though their trip was cut short due to political unrest arising from the results of a national election, members of the GCP team told The Daily Pennsylvanian that they are "even more determined" to build on their work in Kenya.
