Paul C. Williams, W’67, President, Penn Alumni
Thanks to Penn Alumni's wide-ranging campus programs, regional offerings, and virtual resources, you are always connected to the University community. And that will be especially important in the years ahead as Penn undertakes its historic campaign.
Part of what sets Making History: The Campaign for Penn apart from other campaigns in higher education are its unique non-financial and engagement goals. By articulating specific targets for engagement, the University wants you to know that it is committed to broadening and cultivating its most important relationships — and that includes the one it has with you.
Realizing President Gutmann’s vision — to create the premier urban research and teaching University for the 21st century — depends in great part on harnessing the power of alumni, some 290,000 strong. As we know, when drawn together in common cause, Penn alumni are a formidable force for good, using their talents and connections to strengthen the University, support each other, and better the world.
From regional club and affinity-based activities to educational programming and career networking, Penn Alumni offerings are as varied as the people who plan them — and continually expanding. What an exciting time it is to tap into the vast intellectual community of which you are a part, and to find your own way to support and strengthen Penn’s ambitious goals. History starts here, and it begins with you.
