Deborah Garber

Call it a network, call it a support system, call it a family.  Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.  I owe my successes at Penn to my incredible Penn family. I left my “real” family back in Torrington, Wyoming, to be able to fulfill my dreams as a businesswoman and world traveler. My mom, a single parent who was raising my brother, sister, and I, agreed with me that this was an amazing opportunity for me and encouraged me to take it.

 Bo Peng

I think I'll tell them about my freshmen year, a time when I was a dreamer, and I wanted to learn everything, and be a renaissance man, very much in the image of our own Ben Franklin. About the days when my primary concern was remembering the names of the hundreds of people I met, so I could then friend them all on Facebook.
